CNY Eve

Early reunion

We had an early reunion meal this afternoon by joining this event organised by the Lianhe Zaobao. It was a banquet at the ballroom of the Meritus Mandarin and cost around $70 per head.

Not really worth it IMO though. The food was not too bad, but the pace was just too slow. Epic slow. There were many pointless games and nonsense on the stage slowing down the pace.

But then again, today was the first time I drank that much liquor. 3 glasses of wine! I went all heaty and dizzy in the end from all the liquor, but still, it was an experience.

Dinner + more

Went out this evening together with some friends for dinner and then some karaoke after that. We had some burgers at this joint called Freddie's over at Ion. The food was pretty good, and the price was also reasonable. Cheaper than fastfood chains like Mac, and yet taste better. Totally worth it.

Karaoke was over at Cash Studios, as usual. Can't really find anyplace else which actually has the ClubDAM karaoke system. Maybe there are, but we honestly can't be bothered to search for it. After a non-stop 3hr40min of singing, it's over for the night and the mad rush for the MRT station so that we can get back home before the trains stop running.

Had been quite a while since the last Cash Studios outing, so it was quite fun and enjoyable. But it's back to reality again, with work looming ahead tomorrow and all the other stuff waiting for me to handle. Too much work to do and too little time. Time to cut back on recreation I guess.

Chingay 2010

Once again, we are joining the JAS Chingay parade contingent. This will be the 3rd year running that we are joining the Chingay parade under JAS, but the first year that we are joining as an independent group.

The first time round was kind of a fluke, with majority of those who signed up initially failing to turn up, and the couple that were left invited assistance from the club and hence we joined.

The second time round, we joined the NUS group directly, however attendance from people other than the few of us was poor, and the people who initially signed up vanished too, leaving none but our club people and a friend of one of them.

Thus, we decide to go independent, which is good as well since NUS appears to have given up organising a group of their own since attendance had been pathetic the past 2 years. Might as well establish contact on our own and build up the ties.

This year's practice schedule is a bit tight. With the parade being in Feb, practice didn't begin until Jan. But then again, the regime this year is a lot easier than the past 2 years. Which is good! And we are in a different group this year too. Change. Looking forward to the actual parade itself ^^

And the fireworks went up! The display was quite nice to watch, but it was not quite as impressive as expected. I guess the poor financial market is cutting costs and the display is taking a hit cause of them. Wouldn't want them to be wasting money on such extravagant stuff when everyone is feeling the heat. One part of me thought that the fireworks display is nothing more than a source of light, sound, and air pollution, but another part of me also quite liked the display as it gives something for everyone to awe at and have fun.

Subsequently, we slowly made our way over to Bugis to grab some seats and a drink along the way, along with a place to continue with our games. After one round of games, with time running out, I bid farewell to my other friends who were still reluctant to head back, and rushed off to catch the last few train rides home.

Quite an enjoyable evening all in all.

Last but not least, Happy New Year everyone! Hope that the year 2009 had been a fruitful year for you, and the year 2010 will be an enjoyable and fun year ahead!

New Year's Eve

It's New Year's Eve! And I'm out with some of my friends to have dinner and watch the fireworks. We don't really bother with the countdown, but transiting into the new year with others outside is better than holding up at home watching TV or doing something else.

We had a steamboat dinner - even though I don't really like steamboat or BBQ as it's a pain to have to cook for oneself, but whatever. The selection was kind of limited though, and service wasn't that good. The level we were at (we were at the 2nd level of the establishment) was totally devoid of staff most of the time and the food items also took quite some to be refilled once they were depleted. Kind of sucky, but oh well, at least we filled our tummies. Not quite worth the $21 price tag though.

We then went over to the Padang to grab a spot and wait for time to pass for the fireworks. Meanwhile, we had some snacks, and played games. And then... the fireworks started at 12 midnight!

Gathering

Some of my colleagues came over this afternoon after work for a gathering at my place. We played mahjong and also a couple of round of card games. We wanted this gathering for quite some time because we hadn't had the chance to really get together and relax for quite a while. Work was also getting rather hectic and stressful for some of us, and a chance to relax and enjoy was greatly appreciated.

Most of my friends who came over were tolerant of the dog, but one of them was quite terrified at her, saying that her nails were long. But honestly, her nails are significantly shorter than what they used to be. Those who actually think that those nails are still long don't really understand how nail cutting works for dogs.

Oh well. At least we all managed to have fun and relax. Perhaps we'll have another one of these get together sessions in future. Or perhaps not.

It's my birthday today! So happy birthday to me～♪

Anyways, I finally got around to paying back my computer and study loan this morning. And it's not a cheap sum either. Total of over $20k. Thankfully, my mother can help me pay upfront, so we don't have to pay interest for the loan. Then I can pay my mother the amount back. I intend to pay back as much as I can as fast I can though, don't really want this to drag on. Better to get your debts out of the way.

And we went out to celebrate my birthday with a lunch buffet followed by a massage session. I went for the body massage while the rest of them went for the foot reflexology. Perhaps I should have went for the foot one too, as my shoulders are still aching now from the body massage. It was quite an experience though, with plenty of pain and squirming. Guess I'm totally not used to this.

The only bad thing about today is having one of my colleague call me up to ask where I was. Don't they already know that I'm taking leave since it's my birthday? Shesh. How thick can they get?

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! It's Christmas today, but to me, and most of us here, it's just another public holiday as we don't celebrate Christmas. That doesn't mean that we can't wish others or enjoy ourselves though.

And I've also given myself plenty of gifts this Christmas - all at my own expense. I bought myself the LE Lightning bundle PS3 for $685, and I just went and bought a HD ready TV today for another $688. Thank goodness there's a bit of subsidy for the TV, but it was still a significant investment.

Bonus for the year was totally burnt on all of these. But I think it's all worth it.

Christmas Eve!

It's Christmas Eve today! I'm kinda caught by surprise when some of my colleagues at work gave me Christmas presents. I guess Christmas is truly the season of giving. I've never celebrated Christmas before, nor have I truly participated in any gift exchanges before, so it was all quite new to me. Guess I'll have to do better the next time round.

And my classmates cum colleagues also surprised me by buying me a cake and celebrating my birthday at work today. That was totally unexpected since my birthday is not till 2 days later, but it was still appreciated. I kinda spoiled it since I wasn't aware of what was going on and got frustrated at one point, but thankfully, everything went well in the end. All's well that ends well, eh?

I also caught a movie with my brother today. Avatar in 3D. We originally wanted to catch the normal version, but it was unfortunately sold out when we went down to the theater, so we bought tickets for the 3D version since the timing of the next show for both were quite close and we might as well catch the 3D version as we haven't watched a movie in 3D before.

Overall, I must say that the movie was quite impressive. The 3D was good, but nothing spectacular. Perhaps I do not know how to appreciate it, but I believe the normal version would have been just as good, sans 3D. But the graphics and story itself is quite good. And it's one of those rare instances where you will actually sympathise with and side with the other side. The tickets were expensive, with it being 3D and the eve of a holiday, but it was worth it.

NCC attachment

To be honest, I've been getting quite lazy in my posting and it has been quite a while since I've actually posted anything, sans what was writing yesterday in a state of excitement. Needless to say, I've mentioned nothing about my attachment to NCC and today is already the end of the attachment.

All in all, the attachment was nothing like what I had expected. There was little to nothing exposure to oncology per say, though we did have plenty of opportunities to talk to the patients and understand more about them. We also had the chance to try to resolve their problems and help make their QOL better.

I guess I will be seeing onco patients in a different light after this. They don't really look that much different from the normal person you'll see on the street, and most of them are very different from those they show on charity shows to touch you and drive you to donate. They are, like any other person, normal people, except with some underlying problems that most others will not understand. Thankfully, that also means that most of them can get through life quite normally, even those who have advanced illness and may not have much longer to go.

Then again, it is quite a sad thing to work in such an environment, cause you know that regardless of what you do, some of the people that you've connected with will eventually go, and it won't be that long into the future either. I think I wouldn't be able to handle it, so kudos to those who can stay on and help them.

Final Fantasy XIII

At long last. After a very long wait, today was the day when Final Fantasy XIII was released. And my eyes have been on the limited edition Lightning PS3 bundle for quite some time.

Unfortunately, the online site that I originally intended to get it from was a farce. All trickery. And it wasted a lot of my time checking and anticipating when it announced that it was opening up for preorders soon to only reveal that they are not going to release it to anyone who did not preorder in the first place. How could anyone have preordered it when they didn't open it up for preorders in the first place? How thick can they get? What a scam.

But anyways, I kind of suspected something was wrong when they announced that about a week before the release date, so I was kinda searching around for an alternative site, and I finally found one local store that might be bringing it in. Hence, I called up the store this morning and to my surprise, they were indeed bringing it in, and there were still slots for reservation. I naturally reserved a copy and bought the bundle set later in the day.

The local edition was the Asian model with a price tag of $685. Not exactly what I had wanted in the first place, nor was it cheap, but it was still worth it since I've been waiting for it for quite some time. I've also been waiting to buy a PS3 for quite some time, and what better time is there to buy one when you can get a LE set at the same time?

Needless to say, I'm satisfied. Might be sometime before I have the chance to play the game itself, but having the set in my possession is quite enough for now.

Recovery?

After one and a half day of rest and plenty of sleep, I should have been recovering from my illness, but it seems that that's not the case. I actually felt worse today and even had a fever in the afternoon. That, and diarrhoea too. Wonder what's wrong.

Hopefully things will get better after tonight so that I can return to work tomorrow. It felt kind of weird to just stay at home and do nothing. I guess that's because I've ran out of things to do?

Sick and down

Finally broke and went for a consultation today. Appears that I might be experiencing a side effect from the seasonal flu vaccine that I had a week ago, or it might be an actual flu that was not covered by the vaccine. No one knows.

But at least, being able to get some rest is good. Might had a bit too much rest though. The drowsiness from the medication I took knocked me out for a good 4+ hours @.@ Kind of a wasted day if you think about it.

Bleh.

Made lots of mistakes today and one even resulted in me having to pay a special visit to make some corrections. Really don't know what's getting into me. And there's this headache thing and also this increased sensitivity to cold and a slight warm feeling. Might be the beginning of an illness or something.

Hopefully it's just my imagination. Really don't want to get into any sort of crap now.

これでちょっと気を緩むこともできるでしょう。あさっても週末だし。えへへ。なんかいい気分。

Dispensing is indeed a very thirsty process. Talking non-stop to patients after patients really does drive up the thirst response. I guess talking too much can make one lose much water, especially in the mouth, hence resulting in the need to drink.

Slowly getting the hang of things now, even though there are still times when I stutter and don't know what to say. And there are times when they just don't feel like listening, and all that I'm doing was to finish up with the formalities. It's things like this that makes the job bad. But at least, no tough case yet. That's perhaps the only redeeming point.

A sudden announcement and I have more responsibilities and things to complete by this Friday. Just a simple email and so many things can change. The power of emails is indeed not to be underestimated.

Did lots of dispensing today, and most of it was unsupervised. Progress, I'll say. This proves that I'm gaining more confidence and also getting more at ease with speaking to others. Or perhaps, it's just because I'm speaking to one person instead of many, and the communication is purely professional.

Then there is also the domestic quarrels and problems. Thanks to unforeseen circumstances, what was to be ended up not to be. Sometimes, things just do not go the way you wish them to.

恥ずかしかったよ・・・今日の仕事中ズボンのチャックが壊れて午後からずっと閉じられない。

もう恥ずかしくて死にたいぐらい・・・

Needles

Why needles? Cause I got poked today by one. Went for the northern hemisphere seasonal flu vaccination today. It was an intramuscular injection and yet there was blood. Lots of blood. Intramuscular injections should not result in a lot of blood and haematoma formation unless you are thrombocytopenic. At least there wasn't any haematoma in my case, but still, a lot of blood. Perhaps the person accidentally pierced a vein or two in the process instead of the normal capillaries, hence resulting in the gush. Oh well.

I also had a short experience, a couple of hours, at the A&E side today. Having to work all alone most of the time ain't easy. And having no one to talk to or consult with just makes it worst. That perhaps is one of the good points of working at a hospital. At least, you'll have a lot of other people to talk to, and I'm not referring to the patients. Just not my cup of tea to hang around alone the whole day, unless I'm chilling out at home - that's another story altogether.

久しぶりに英語で書いた。ずっとずっと長い間何を書くのかを悩んでる。今日はちょっとしたことがあったからやっと書くことができた。いいね。

えっと実はまだ話したいことがあるけどなんか忘れちゃったみたい・・・

正直に言って主人公はいい人過ぎるのよ。それほど人よしだからいつも損じちゃうよ。

だけどこれを見て婚活についてのことは以前より知ってた。そして人は力をあわせばなんでもできるってこと。当然なことだよね。つっかそうじゃないと人はいけられないよ。

とにかく恋愛だと思ったから見るけど恋愛じゃなくてもよかった。暖かくて心に響くドラマだね？えへへ。

あんなにがんばったのに一生懸命がんばったのに・・・最後まで一度も合格しなかった。まぁ、当然だけど。合格したらこんな長い時間も無駄にしなかった。

結構面白かったよ、このドラマは。最初のところはちょっとふざけったこともあったからあんまり好きじゃなくて見つらかったけど、話が進めばだんだんよくなって最後はちゃんとまじめでいいことになったんだ。まぁ、しょうがないことだけどね。ちょっとしたラブコメでヒューマンドラマの部分もあったから。

子離れできないお父さんとその自由になりたい娘の話。これを見るとあることを意識した。いくらうざいと思っても親は大事な人ってこと。普通は好きじゃないでほっといてて思ってもいざになったときやっぱり親が何よりも大切だね。重い話はここまでにしとく。

って面白いところはどこにあったけ？

主人公の二人はただの同僚で突然好きになったのはひとつ。それは突然すぎる出納得できない。そして男のほうからはじめた付き合うが誤解のせいで分かれた後女のほうがまた付き合うをも仕込んでハッピーで済んだのもひとつ。終わりところも似たことがあったよ。女の親から結婚をも仕込んで断ったけど、最後で男の親から結婚をも仕込んで成功した。こういうのがすきなのかな、プロデューサーの方々。

ハッピーエンドで終わったのはいいよ。ここまで苦労してがんばったのに幸せになれなかったら悲しすぎるよ。だからハッピーエンドでいい。

いつの間にまた終わったんだね、週末は。あんまり休んだわけでもないし・・・まぁ、いいけど。

またドラマを買った。今回のはおそらくラブコメだと思う。結構好きだね、こういうの。

やっと週末だね。週末が大好き。土曜日には仕事をしなきゃならないけどやっぱり好きだ、週末は。

一週間がんばったから、やっと休みができるのはいい。

でもちゃんと二日休まないのはちょっと惜しい。一日はありがたいけど、やっぱり二日のほうがぜんぜんいいよ。

仕方がないことね。病院は一年中休みなんかないだから。

「僕は妹に恋をする」

禁じれるからきれいなのかな。双子で兄妹なのに恋をしてる。しかもお互いの気持ちは同じ。

それはいかにも悲しくてつらいよね。いけないとわかっても自分の気持ちを抑えられない。

似てることのアニメもあったよ。間違えなかったら「恋風」という漫画からのアニメ。アニメも同名。それも同じく血を繋がる兄妹の話。でもそれは幼いころ分かれて別々なところではなれて育てた兄妹だ。この作品は生まれたから一緒に成長した兄妹の恋話。こっちのほうが重いかもしれない。だって兄妹として育てるのに恋愛対象として見られるなんて。

私の考えだけど、社会はどう見てもほかの人がどう見ても自分の気持ちに正直のは大事。いけないとしても他人のことを気にせず自分に素直で。それが一番いい。そうしたらきっと後悔しない。私だったらね。

「乙男（オトメン）」夏編

そういうこと。まぁ、結構面白いな。自分に素直にならないのはちょっとだけどね。

話はまだ終わらない。夏が終わったけど次の季節はまだあるよ。つまり、９話からは秋だ！

まだ放映中だけどね。今は１０話までたどり着いた。全部で何話あるのかな。楽しみにしてる！

今日はまた小テストがあった。だけど、答えを相談するまでには待たなかった。相談を聞かないとどこかで間違ったのはわからなくてちゃんと理解もできない。本当は残りたい気持ちいっぱいいっぱいだけど、どうしてもいかなければならない原因があったんだ。

運動しないといけないから。体が弱すぎるから。しかも無理やりにやれたんだ。だから嫌いだよね、ここは。まぁ、あと一週間ぐらいからがまんする。

これは知的障害の人に関しての話。主人公は知的障害だけど、ちゃんと自分と大事の人の子供を育てるのを決めてその育てる過程の話。

子供みたいなのに子供を育てるのは無理があると周りの人が思いながらも彼女のがんばってる姿をちゃんと語りついた。育てる途中で彼女もちゃんと成長したんだ。お母さんになるために。

「何かを変えるためには動かないといけません。」そして「失敗は成功の母。」

周りの人の認めを受けて彼女もちゃんとお母さんになったんだ。ドラマの終わりには話はまだ終わっていない。これからもたくさんの困難があるけど、自分を信じて周りの人に頼んだらきっとどうにかなる。

人々を励む話だよね。

「タイヨウのうた」

もう一度映画を見てた。前に見たのは一年以上からもうあんまり覚えてない。

やっぱり、時間的に映画はドラマよりぜんぜん速かった。ちょっとあせってるみたい感じ。でもなんだか映画のほうがよかったと思う。こっちの話のほうがもっと私の心に響くかな。それでもYUIは沢尻エリカより天音薫にふさわしいかな。YUIのほうがよかったよね＾＾

それに「太陽が沈んだら迎えに行くよ。」映画にはちゃんと出たよ、この言葉。すばらしい～♪

だけど、思うもしなかった。まさか「変な顔」って言葉はこんなに切なくてつらくて悲しくて優しい言葉だって。場所によってね。

「セレブと貧乏太郎」

なかなかなラブコメだった。だけど現実にはそんなことあんまりないよね。超金持ちのと超貧乏の恋愛関係。この話にでもその面があんまりなかった。最後のところにしかない。

素直で一所懸命がんばっていて子供を三人も育てるためにすべてを尽くす貧乏な男の人。
わがままだけど単純な一面もあった金持ちでセレブの女の人。
その二人の出会いから気持ちを素直に伝えたときまでの話であった。

人は人と一緒にいるとだんだん感情がよくなるだろう。そしていつの間にか二人も知らないとき相手の存在が当たり前のことになる。そう思えるときはもう恋に落ちたってこと。でもちゃんとはなれないと大分の人は自分に素直にならない。

自分の気持ちに素直のは大事だよね。考えることも感じることも全部残さずに伝えないと相手がわからないから。あなたの心が読めないから。人生って生きるってのはそういうこと。

皆さんもちゃんと自分の気持ちを伝えないといけないのよ。幸せなどを手に入れるために。

いろいろあったよね。こっちもしなきゃならない、あっちもしなきゃならない。もうどうしたらいいのはわからない。

ひとことしか集中できないのは私。だからいろいろあったら超困る。しかもちゃんと時間を使ったから集中できないのも困る。たくさんのことを一緒にしなきゃのは苦手だ。むしろできない。

仕方がない。人を失望させるしかない。

後編はやっぱり家族としての生活だった。自分が生んだ子ではないけど自分の子として育てる。えらいよね。子供はやっぱり可愛い。見ると可愛がりたい。親もすごい。子供を幸せになるようにどんなことでもやれる。

子供を育てるのは簡単なことではない。途中でやめられたい気持ちもきっとあるけどそれさえこたえればきっと後悔しない。だって子供を育てるのは親にも勉強になること。いろいろなことが学べる。

最後にその子が自分のママのそばに帰ったけど、それでも一緒にすごした時間はみんなにとって大切な思い出。コメディだけど、まじめな一面もあるよね。

参ったな。本当にだまされたんだ。昨日も言ったけど、目が悪くなったのかな。でも、５話の終わりごろはよかった。映画だったらそのままで終われるぐらい。なんだか前編が本題みたい。後編はそれからの生活。家族として認めたからの。

ってどんな話だっけ？

出会うのは偶然。本当だよね。その出会いから恋に落ちて結婚して幸せな新婚生活をすごすはずだったけど、彼の子供が突然家に来た。それがすべての始まり。地獄の始まりだってテレビで行ってた。

最初はいやだったけど、彼女も少しずつ受け止めて本気でママになるようにがんばっていた。その荒っぽいけど正直で気のいい娘のコメディ。実は面白かった。前編だけでも結構いい話しと思う。それに彼女は可愛かった。やっぱりコメディはいいよね。笑うわ。

続きはどうかな？今は見ているからそのうちにわかる。毎度同じに間違えがないな私の判断。

GERD?

Just experienced what could have been my first symptoms of GERD, or at least that's what I think it is. And it really HURTs. The excruciating pain radiated from the epigastric region to the back, and it was bad. VERY BAD.

It started as a mild disturbance around the epigastric region, but it escalated into full scale pain after I had a cold drink. And I didn't had lunch today either. Combining those two reasons, the condition worsened and the pain came.

Not really sure if it's GERD or not, but it's possible. Antacids (suspension) didn't help, and taste bad to boot, but having dinner did alleviate the pain. So it's possible. Though it's kind of weird as the pain was pretty much around the same region and it was constant.

Gotta eat when it's time to eat next time eh.

「暴れん坊ママ」を見た。そう思ったんだけど、実は不完全だ。５話だけだとちょっと短いかなと思った。結局不完全だ。全部で１０話。つまり後５話を探さないと。めんどくさいな。

翻訳もないからあんまり理解できないかもしれないがもうしかたがない。どうしても見てみたい。この不完全のままは耐えられない。RAWはできるだけ避けたいけど、今回に限って見よう。まずはちゃんと残りの５話を手に入れること。それからだ。

「薔薇のない花屋」

何を言うのかのがわからない。ちょっと複雑な話だ。でも間違えなく恋を語り伝えた。裏切りや誤解や愛情や親子の愛もある。

だけど、主人公はいい人過ぎる。人よし過ぎると病気だな。やさしくてどんなことも受けれる。裏切られてもその相手を信じてる。そして周りの人が幸せだったら自分がどんなに苦しんでもいい。心が大きすぎるよね。私にはまねできない。少なくても私は決して裏切りが許さない。それほどやさしい人でもない。あぁ、なんだか落ち込むよ。

「１０１回のプロポーズ」

この話は美人と野獣みたいな話。どう見ても女にもてない四十過ぎの男。トレンディから最も遠い男。そしてとてもきれいの美人。普通考えればどうにも想像できないカップル。この二人の話。

彼は９９回のお見合い相手に断って９９回のプロポーズも失敗しちゃったんだ。彼女は三年前結婚式直前に交通事故で死んでた婚約者を忘れなかった。そして、彼の１００回のお見合いの相手は彼女だった。それから始まったんだ、二人は。

彼女に断ってもしつこく諦めないで彼女を追いかける。彼女がいつか振り向くのを信じてて。そして、やっと彼女の心を開いて彼女が彼を受けた。もし話がここで終わったら１００回のプロポーズで済んだだろう。だけどね、タイトルは１０１回のプロポーズだからそうではいけない。

第三者により彼女は一回彼と離れた。婚約も破ってまで。でも彼はそれまでも彼女を憎むことなく彼女を諦めなかった。最後は当然ハッピーエンド。エンドはちょっと驚いたけど。ウェディングドレスを着て道で走って彼の前に行ってあたしをもらってって言うのはないでしょう。

周りの者たちの話も結構面白かったよ。「できちゃった結婚」見たい面白くはないけど、それでもよかった。やっぱりかなわないよね。

えっと、その裏切りについて私だったら許さないよ。裏切りなってのは絶対に許さないこと。そして恋も愛も永遠まで続くものだと思う。決して別れなんかない。

ところでこれは超古いドラマよ。１９９１年のもの。まぁ、どうでもいいよね。いい話だから。

不思議だよね、恋ってことは

ちょっと考えてた。短くても悲しくてもつらくても激しくうれしくいとしく恋がしたい。そう考えてた。変なの？でもやっぱり一生ないよりも一度体験したほうがいいと思うよ。それに深く沈めば沈めるほどいいと思う。

だけど、今の私では無理。いくら心で叫びたくても口には出ない。本当の気持ちはちゃんと伝えない。伝える相手もいない。なんかそのドキドキしてキュンとした感情がない。

ここを出ればいいなんでしょうか。試さないとわからないね。もうちょっと考えよう。

これを見て感動した。命の大事さもわかった。ただ息をしてるのは生きてるじゃないちゃんと何かのために、何かを目標にして生けないといけない。それを理解したからのは本当の命の始まり。

彼女は毎日ぶらぶらしながら時間を過ごした。することがなくて毎日詰まらなさそうに生きてた。ただ一つかもしれない目標は自分のアイドルを追いかけること。ある日、そのために生けないことをしてた。そのアイドルを追いかけるの金がほしくて援助交際をしてた。それが彼女の人生を大きく変わる事項だってそのときは知らなかった。

そして出会った。雨が降ってる夜に彼女は自分の大好きな人に。彼にとってただの一晩のことだけど彼女にとっては自分の今後を変われるような大事なこと。そのとき気づいたんだ。彼はいつも悲しい顔をしてるってこと。

また会うに約束した日に彼女はとても大きなことをしてた。自分がHIVに感染したこと。ただ一つの援助で移ったんだ。彼女は大きなショックを受けて落ち込んだ。今すぐ死ぬでもないことをわかってても自分の人生が終わったのと同じぐらい落ち込んだ。

最初は彼なのかって考えてからにわけもわからないことを言った。でも彼が白だったってことをして別なことに悩んだ。もし自分が彼に移ったら・・・

彼は人気な音楽プロデューサー。死んだ恋人を忘れたくていろいろな曲を作って心が空っぽになったんだ。命にはもう意味がない。そう思いながら生きてた。だけど、彼女からHIV感染ってことをしてて変わった。自分にも移ったじゃないかを思いながら焦ってた。テストを受けて陰性だとわかったとき本当にほっとした。そのことでからは自分がまだ生きてる、そしてまだ命を大事にしてるってことをわかった。彼女のおかげで。

そしてはじめた。彼と彼女。友達として。HIV感染者をしての命はいかにも苦しくてつらかった。社会に認めない。友達からも変わった目に見ていた。でも、彼は彼女のそばに彼女を支えた。彼が彼女の生き続ける意味になってた。

二人それぞれ落ち込んでいるときお互いがお互いを支えている。そして彼の目に見える彼女も少しずつ変わってた。最初は友達として見えたが、日々による変わった。昔、恋人をなくしてことで恋をあきらめた彼の心に少しずつ彼女が入っていた。彼も彼女がないと生けられなくなった。二人は恋に落とした。

でも、彼女を受けてることで彼も社会に見捨てた。仕事をなくして上もう日本に入られなくなった。もう一度立ちなおすには日本を出なければならなかった。だからアメリカへ行くと決めた。もちろん彼女と一緒に。

出発の日に大きな誤解が発生した。ある人の話を効いて彼女は彼が自分を残ってアメリカへ行けたと信じてた。泣きながら空港を出た彼女を知らなかったままに彼はぎりぎりまで彼女を待ってた。彼女が自分の意思で日本に残って彼のない生活を選んだと思いながら彼がアメリカに旅立った。

そして時間がすごした。

三年後彼はアメリカで大成功して日本へ帰ってた。彼女も新しい目標があってがんばって勉強してその目標へたどり着くように生きてる。彼はある人からあのころの誤解の真実を聞いた。そして運命のおかげで、彼と彼女がまた会った。あのころの誤解も話し合ってる中で解いた。最初のとき彼女は彼を受けられなかった。自分がどんなに悲しくてつらかったっていて彼と別れた。でも今まで社会での失敗で彼女はちゃんと彼が自分を一番理解してるってことをわかってまた彼と一緒にいった。

彼は無茶なことをして彼女と結ばれた。移すの危険さをしてても彼女と一緒にいるの気持ちが勝った。それで彼女の中に小さな命ができた。だけど、エイズを発症した彼女の体には妊娠がいかにもつらいこと。だから、医者さんも両親も彼も彼女が赤ん坊をあきらめてほしかった。いろいろな障害を乗り切って彼女はやっと彼の許しを受けて赤ちゃんを産んでもいいと言われた。

でも、妊娠はやっぱり彼女にとってつらいことだった。出産のときいろいろな危険なことが起こって彼女は危うく命を落とした。赤ちゃんも危険な状況に。幸い最後に母子も安全に病院を出た。だけど、赤ちゃんのHIV状況はまだ知らなかった。感染したのか。そうではないのか。それは六月後じゃないとわからなかった。

悩みがあってても彼と彼女はやっと結婚式を行った。前には一度二人だけで交し合ったけど、式はまだだった。両親と友達の祝福を受けて彼と彼女は結婚した。そのとき病院から赤ちゃんのHIV状況の知らせが来た。赤ちゃんも彼と同じ白だった。うれしくて彼女にそのときを伝いたいって走った彼は彼女の倒れた姿を見てた。赤ちゃんを守るために彼女は大きなストレスを受けてそれで逝った。人生の一番幸せな日に亡くなった。

彼女がもいないけど、彼にはまだ二人の子供がある。そしてその子を育てながら生き続ける。

この話は「恋空」と少し似合うことがある。同じく難病で死で別れた恋人同士。そして同じく子供を相手に残すこと。すばらしいよね。美しくて悲しい恋話だ。やっぱり大好きだ、こんな話は。

「神様、もう少しだけ」はおくが深い。HIV感染者の気持ちもちゃんと話してHIVに対して正しい理解を求めるように呼びかける表示がされた。これを見てちょっとはHIV感染者の気持ちをわかってたのかな。そうだったらいい。ただの恋話ではないから。

前のは運命運命しか書いていなかったから、あんまりもふざけんなことだから、今回はちゃんと書き直すと思ったんだ。

同じ日で生まれた男の子と女の子がいたんだ。しかも特別な日で。四年に一度しかない３６６日。2月29日。

幼いころ一緒にいたんだ。隣に住んでる幼馴染でもいえる。だけど、その日は長く行かなかった。ある不幸な事件が起こった。女の子のお父さんが逮捕されてお母さんがその件で自分の命をとった。そして別れた。男の子と女の子。

それから時間が流された。

生まれてからの二度の誕生日（八歳のとき）がやってきた。偶然かもしれないがその二人がまた会ったんだ。雪が降ってる白い日に男の子と女の子にとって最初の出会うがあった。出会うのは偶然だけど、また会うのは運命。そういう言葉があったんだよ。

いつの間にか中学生になったんだ。男の子も女の子も立派に成長した。運命なのかな。二人は同じ中学校に入って同じクラスのクラスメイトになったんだ。そして何も知らないまま学生生活をすごした。最初はただの赤の他人のはずなのにいつかにお互いが知り合って友達になって付き合うことになった。

だけど、二人にはそう簡単に幸せを手に入らない。中学二年の修学旅行で始まった関係は友人と二人のお母さんの所為でないことにしたんだ。二人も不本意ながらも事情で別れた。それが彼女にとって一番のことって思いながら彼が彼女を残してままで離れた。

夕食は洋食でセミナーの。えっと、つまりセミナーの参加して、飯つきの。別に食べたいから参加したのよ！ただセミナーがあってて同僚から聞いたから一緒に参加するようになったんだ。

それね、なんか車酔いをしたよ。いつも大丈夫のに、今回はダメだった。私ってね、疲れたとき車に乗るとこうなるの。おかげで今は調子が悪くてどうしたらいいのかのがわからない。

まぁ、何もしなくても自分で治れるけど。それでも、今はつらいよ。あぁ・・・

今日はちゃんと書きたいことがあったんだけど・・・また明日でね。

「恋空」

ドラマ。

ドラマのほうがぜんぜんよかった。本当にそう思った。話がもっと完全に、完璧になってた。その映画にある速さがなくなって、いいペースに進んでいた。

話なんだけど、映画とはほとんど同じだった。ううん、映画よりよかった。映画にあるのはあって、映画にはないのもあった。まぁ、それも当然なことだよね。だって映画の三倍の時間もあったんだ。前半は甘くて幸せな恋話、中盤からどんどん悲しくなってて、最終にまたきれいな話で終わった。セリフも映画とほとんど同じだった。それはおそらく原作からのだ。

ドラマのほうが好きだ。だって、主人公の二人の恋はもっときれいでやさしかった。彼のこともドラマのほうが好き。強引のことももちろんあったけど、それよりやさしかった。ちゃんと彼女を思って彼女がうれしくなるように動いてた。それを見て、感動しないなんていうのはウソだ。そんなことはいつか私にやってくるなんでしょうか。

高校一年の夏休みのときに出会った。そして、そのときから運命の歯車が動いた。最低な出会うでもいえるから最高な恋になってたんだ。それは間違えなく純愛のものだった。一歩ずつ歩いて前に進んでる。気持ちが頂点になったとき愛の結晶も二人にやってきた。

それなのに初めて一緒にすごしたイブになくした。ある嫉妬の所為で。それでも二人の気持ちは変わらなくてより深くなっていた。でも、悲しいことはそれだけじゃなかった。彼が難病を引いた。ここも映画より大好きなところ。彼の事情はちゃんと話してて、見てるみんなもちゃんと理解できるように語りついた。

彼と別れて、新しい恋を見つけて、また幸せになってた、彼女は。
失った赤ちゃんの最後の寝場所にまた会った。そして、彼が変わった。でも、彼女はまだそんなことに気ついてなかった。ううん、気ついてたかもしれないが、そのときはその原因を誤解してたんだろう。

時間が流れていた。高校の卒業式。あの初めて出会った図書館でそう書いた。
「あなたは幸せでしたか？」
考えもしなかった返事があった。
「とても幸せでした。」
そのとき、彼女そう決めたんだ。
「もうあなたのことは思い出さない。」
「思い出すのはただその一日。」

でも、その大事な日に、彼が来なかった。代わりに友人が来てた。もう耐えられなくなる友人から本当の話を聞いてた。そして彼女は今の彼より元彼のことを選んだ。だって、彼女は認めたくないけど、今でも元彼のことを好きでいた。

その最後の日々は二人にとって幸せだった。また最初のように精一杯に愛し合ってお互いのそばにいて。そして、思い出の場所の字も変えた。

それでも別れの日が来た。泣いてて彼のそばに帰っていて彼女に彼は最後の言葉を話した。
笑ってって。その笑顔を見ながら彼はあのようへ旅立った。彼を失った彼女は生きる勇気をなくした。でも、自分の命を落とした前に彼の日記を見てた。自分のことばかり書いていた。そのときわかってた。彼はもいないけど、いつも彼女を見ているってこと。

彼も最後に彼女に大切なものを残した。小さな命を。

「あたしは今でも空に恋をしています。そして、きっと、これからもずっと、永遠に・・・」

美しくてきれいな恋話だよね。

現実には彼女みたいなやさしい人がいないよね。彼のためにすべてを尽くして支えてる。少なくても今住んでるところにはそんなのがないと思う。人は大体まわりより自分のことを考えてるってさ。だからこんな話があって話にこんな人があるのを見れば心がなんか温かくなる。

こんな話には本当に弱いんだよ、私は。愛し合ってる二人が死で離れてたけど、その新しい命を残して残った一人の恋人に大切な贈り物。そんなのが大好きだよ。いつか、私にも、きっと・・・

映画。

最初のとこはきれいだった。激しくてまるで川のような恋。すべてを巻き込んで前に進んだ。純愛なのかな？二人から考えたのは純愛かもしれないがそれでもないこともあった。でも、一つだけのことは確かだ。二人とも本当に幸せだった。

二人の愛が深くなっていく。やっと二人の気持ちが結ばれて愛の結晶ができたのに、ある事件の所為ですべてはなくした。その小さな光が二人の間から消えた。そして、二人の絆も。突然のことで別れた。

「太陽が沈んだら迎えに行くよ。」

正直、ショックだった。映画を見たとき、悲しい話だねって思ったんだ。それでも、心にはその、なんっつか、切ない気持ちはあんまりなかった。それはその話がよくないではない。ただ、映画にはその話の重さが表現できなった。そのエンディングも比べてそんなに悲しくなかった。

だけど、ドラマの話はまったく違う。十回もあったんだろうか。あの二人のことはより深く表現した。ちゃんと二人の感情と自分との戦いと周りの障害を乗り切って、やっと一緒にいられるのに、残酷な運命が二人を離れた。

彼女は自分の命より大事にした夢もかなわなかった。歌ったから倒れる。そう思っていた。だけど彼女はそのわずかな幸せもなかった。もうちょっとなのに、ステージにでって歌う前に・・・彼女が亡くなった。歌える機会もなかった。それも見てもう悲しくてどうにもならなかった。せめて、最後の歌だけでも与えればいいのに・・・だから絶唱と名づけたのかな、最終回。

運命は時々あんまりにも残酷だった。ドラマを見た後心が切なくて悲しきもちにあふれてる。こうなるのはもうわかってるのに、それでも自分を抑えることができなかった。それほど切なくて悲しい物語であった。

彼女が最後に歌えなかったことは一番悲しかった。だから、せめてここにはコンサートではないが、ステージの上に歌った彼女の輝きを皆さんに見せる：

人間って変だ。時間がたくさんあったときは大体無駄に使ってぜんぜん大事にしなかった。
「まぁ、まだ明日があるじゃない。」と言ってて時間を流される。

でも、自分の時間がもうあんまり残ってないとわかったとき時間と生命の大事さがわかってる。そのときは残り少ない時間を大事に使って、精一杯生きて、一番輝く人生を過ごす。

最近そう考えるようになったんだ。見たドラマの所為かもしれないけど、これはこのようの真実だと信じてる。

もしいつかその限定の時間が私にやってきたら私はいったい何をするのだろう？最後のわずかな時間をどうやって過ごすのかな？

「できちゃった結婚」

「できちゃった結婚」。そのドラマを見ていた。ラブコメであった。

「いるみたい。」
「いるって何が？」
「だから、ここにいるの。」
「ここってまさか・・・」
「できちゃった。」

この対話で始まったんだ。はじめは面白かった。話が進めばどんどんまじめなことになっていく。なんだか初対面のときやちゃって、それできちゃった。話はそこから進んでいく。

不器用の二人の成長を見て、なんか自分もその物語に感動した。いろいろの試練を乗り切って、両親の許しと祝福を受けて、やっと一緒にいられるようになった。二人のがんばってる姿を見て、自分もがんばらないとと思うんだ。

もちろん、幼なじみの誤解や痴話喧嘩もあったよ。危うく別れになることも障害あったけど、何とか乗り切った。

このストーリーには当然主人公の二人の話だけではなくて、周りの人たちの恋話も含めている。全部でカップルが三対あった。主人公以外のカップルの話も結構面白かったよ。不器用のも頼りにできるのもあったんだ。

最後のそのハッピーエンドをもう見たとおりのことだけど、やっぱりうれしかった。二人がやっと幸せを手に入れるのが大好きだった。だから恋愛話がやめられないんだ。当然、切なくて悲しいエンドのもあるんだけど、それも恋愛や人生にはよくあること。

もし時間があったら、ぜひこのドラマを見てください。きっと好きになるだろう。

It was quite a surprise to realise that the movie was almost exactly the same as the drama, except with less scenes (1h40mins compared to 11ep of 38mins) and some extra scenes that were most likely cut from the drama episodes.

They were basically just using the same footage, and reediting it to different lengths to suit the demands of the two media types. Not that I find it to be bad though, but having watched the drama first, the movie seemed a lot more shallow, though I still finished it to see all the scenes, and to also experience what's it like for those who just only watch the movie.

If one is really interested and would like to watch both the movie and the drama, it'll be advisable to start with the movie, then the drama. At least that way, there's still more for you to look out for in the drama. And the story doesn't end in the movie - the true ending to the story is only found in the drama.

Nearing the end

My physical training sessions are coming to an end... at least for the first part. Then there will be a test to decide if there is a need to continue on. Pass, and be discharged from the program, fail, and continue with the second part.

Honestly speaking, it's unlikely that I'll be able to make it. Which means that the second part is almost a certainty. It's not too bad, but not that good either. It's complicated.

恋愛話ってやっぱり悲しいほうがいいのかな？だってさ、すべてのことがよかったなら、見る甲斐もあんまりなくてつまらないでしょう？

でも、やっぱ悲しいことには弱いな、私。特に・・・話しに深く入るなら。

Busy day

Today was quite a busy day. We had a meeting early in the morning that lasted for around 2 hours. Then there was a talk in the afternoon during the lunch period, but I went home as there was food back at home. Shortly after returning from lunch, we had a tutorial which lasted for almost 2 hours. Then we had another meeting for a certain event occurring at the end of the year.

All in all, there wasn't much work done for the most of today, even though I did sat through a short briefing about another aspect of the department I'm currently at that I had not truly known before.

ドラマが見えるになった。昨日は探せないから見えなかったけど、今日はちゃんと探せた。

今回のは「赤い糸」。結構人気があるのケイタイ小説からの。

でも、どうして恋愛話はいつもそんなに悲しむの？そのほうが見る甲斐があるでもいうわけ？

Just when I decide to start on something new, things start to get rather shitty for me. Guess it's just the world's way of screwing around with me. And I'm only trying to start a new drama series, not to tie up the loose ends that I've left dangling over these couple of weeks and to clean up the mess that's been left behind by me.

Aw shucks. Guess that just means that things aren't going to be going well for me for now. Tough luck.

Finally had a chance to have a good night's rest and get plenty of sleep to recover some of the fatigue piled up in my poor body. Rest is very important so that we can go further in our journey in life. Therefore, everyone must remember to get plenty of rest when they can, so that they won't end up regretting in when they collapse in future. Or something along those lines.

Long weekend

This Sunday is a public holiday, therefore the following day, Monday, is also a public holiday. This means that we get a total of 3 days of weekend break! Yeah! So happy *^-^*

Time to take a break and sit back for a while. Breath. Relax. And get to back to the real world when the holidays end.

今週の日曜は休みだから、来週の金曜も休み。いいやね。長い週末は好き。大好き。超好き。

やっと休みができるなんて、うれしくてどうにもならなかった。このすべてが終わったらまた現実に戻らなければならないけど、今はこののんびりできる時間を楽しもう。

「おくりびと」 Departures

I'm bad at describing things and writing reviews, but it was a very touching film. It was no wonder that it won the Best Foreign Film Award for the 2008 Oscars.

The people who send the dead on their last journey to the other world. There are many who do not understand them, and look down on them, but to them, the job is of great importance and meaning. It is, after all, the last rites for the departed. A ritual that is of great significance to the ones left behind.

If you have the chance, do go and watch it. You won't regret it.

感動だった。涙が出てくるぐらい。泣いていなかっただけど、目の中にごろごろした。

納棺の意味はこの前ぜんぜんわからなかった。そして、そのことの意味はあんまわからなかった。でも、今は大事なことだとわかった。「納棺：死体を棺に納めること。」こんなに簡単のことなのに、その奥は深い。生き残った人にはなおさら。こんな式は大体その人たちのためでしょうね。

機会があったら絶対に見ててね。必ず後悔しないから。

Running

As expected, running is my greatest weakness. I guess that reflects my willpower, to a certain extent. Especially for things that I do not like, and feel that I've been forced into doing.

Now my whole body aches and hurts. At least we get to rest for the next session as it's a public holiday. But at this rate, a pass appears to be unlikely. Oh well.

やっぱり走るのはできない。たださえ五周なのに体はもうダメと叫んで、全身が痛い。

幸いのことは次のは休み。そのときまで体がちゃんと治るといいんだね。

Of CDs and Fire

Went for a CD top-up round together with one of my colleagues down in the store today. I must say that it was a rather interesting experience, to see how the issuing and receiving of CDs are done, and of course, the chance to take a sneak peak at the OT area - even though it was only the reception area.

There was also a fire drill today, but it was pretty unremarkable. We just assembled in the designated area when the instructions were given, and then head back after hanging out there for a while. Don't really know the point of all these. In the event of a real incident, I doubt many will be calm and sane enough to keep their cool and follow the directions as they did today.

Emergency Kits

Yesterday and today was spent completely on refilling and changing emergency kits. This is because there was a change in the item amounts for several items in the kits, hence the need to change all the kits to reflect the new amounts.

We have until Friday to complete all the changes, and I must say that we are making good progress. There's about 1/3 of the kits left to be changed, and we still have 3 more days.

Still have some more to go, but it's all good. The problem lies in the amount of other work waiting for us by the end of the week. And that's all because of the upcoming holiday over the weekend.

昨日と今日は同じことをしてた。まぁ、仕事はほとんど同じことをしてるけど、今回のはちょっと特別。今回のは救急箱を変えること。これも重要なこと。元のアイテムの数が変えたから、すべてのを変えなければならない。

まぁ、今のは順調だ。このままに進めばもうすぐで終わらせるみたい。

Getting better?

I'm not feeling that bad, nor as sore as it was after the first (or second) physical training session. Could it be that I'm getting better? Or was it because the training load was lighter?

Who knows. It'll be best if it was the former. Less time spent on these training will be more time spent on more meaningful stuff.

今日はいい調子。体の体調が以前よりよくなったのか、今回のトレーニングが前より簡単なのか。わからない。でも、前のほうならいい。

Late, late, late

Oh my. What am I doing at this hour not sleeping? Well, I guess it's partly due to the approx 3 hours burnt by physical training. Thanks to that, I have to stay up later at night to complete some of my things that I could not complete on time.

Oh well. Time to head the sack. Till the next time.

Comex 2009

Went with my mom to the computer exhibition, Comex 2009, at Suntec today. My primary objective was to get some ram for my computer - time for some upgrades, as some things were not going as well as planned, and is really pissing me off - and my mom was just tagging along, at least that was the original plan.

In the end, she ended up buying more than I did, and also ended up spending even more money. Oh well, as long as everyone is happy.

今日は久々に買い物に出かけた。ちょっとほしいものがあったんだから。

結局百ドルぐらいを使った。いつもより高いけど、たまにはいいよね。

まぁ、みんながうれしいならいい。

It's true

It's really a lot of pain. And it doesn't help that I'm currently working in the store where manual labour is required. Sore muscles that are aching + manual labour = a lot of pain and wincing.

Thankfully, this problem should be shortlived - or at least, I hope that it will be shortlived. Things should get better by tomorrow, only for the entire process to repeat itself again on Sun. Wonderful.

やっぱいたいよね。体が。力を出せとすれば痛さがあがっていく。何もしなくても痛い。ほんまに困る。

A lot of pain

It was a little pain a few days ago back when my body was aching from the little bit of exercise from the lack thereof previously. However, since we started training for real, and underwent the full package (albeit slightly toned down) today, the aches are coming around for real. Even now, just sitting there doing nothing, I can feel the muscles crying out in protest.

Tomorrow is going to be terrible. I can't even begin to imagine how it'll feel like when the sore comes along for real. *cower*

Another day

Nothing much happened today. Just the usual stuff. But there is stocktake tomorrow. Yeah, stocktake. Wee. Let's talk about it tomorrow.

Oh, there was also an appraisal done today, but it's more for formalities than anything else. Well, it does matter to a certain extent, but I guess it'll all go well - I hope? Well, being average is good anyways. Neutral for the win.

A little pain

Feeling a bit of ache today. Must be due to the stuff yesterday. Seems like I've really been chilling out for far too long. Long enough that my body is almost as old as that of a dinosaur now, and a little bit of exercise, or what seems like exercise, will have made it crumble.

Oh well. Hopefully it'll get better as the weeks go by. And today's the first day in the store. Time to learn things that are completely different from what we have encountered previously.

Training

Attended the first session of training today. Thanks to my complete lack of exercise, this inevitable fate finally came upon me. Not too bad though. Today was basically something like an introduction and orientation session.

Hopefully this training sessions will be useful. Or else it'll be a major waste of time, and only serve to prove that all of this is but another crapload of nonsense.

痛い。脚が痛い。長い間運動しなかったから。突然運動するとこうなる。

明日までに治るといいよね。こんなのはいやなのに。

Feeling better today. Guess all I need was some rest and I'll be up and running again. Okay, maybe not a bit of rest, but a lot of rest. Either way, I'm all set and ready to go again.

Anyways, I treated my family + some to dinner tonight. Supposedly, we were supposed to treat others with our first paycheck, so that's what I did, though it was a bit late. Better late than never though.

All in all, I must say that the food that we had tonight wasn't too bad, and the price was reasonable too. Some of the items were a bit not worth it - as far as food goes - and some were too salty, but it wasn't that bad, so it's all okay.

また世代交代をした。今回の子はかなり好きなので、なかなか世代交代できなかった。でも、やっぱり新しい子を育てるの方が楽しいから、ついやった。

Sick

Not feeling very well today. Had some breathing difficulties during work this morning and went to see a doctor at the A&E. Turns out that it's most likely a bout of normal flu instead of the current H1N1, but a swab was still done for testing.

Thankfully, the results were negative, but rest is still important. Being down will illness means that my body has gone weak over this period of time, likely from insufficient rest and too much things going on in the mind.

幸い、大したことではなさそうだ。ちょっと風邪だって言ってた。

でも、やっぱり休みが重要。風邪が引くのは体が弱いってこと。疲れとストレスのおかげのかな。まぁ、ちゃんと休めばよくなる。

Very, very tired today. Almost couldn't get out of bed this morning. Usually, I'll be up by the 2nd alarm (within 10 mins of the first alarm), but this morning, I was still struggling after the 2nd alarm and almost reaching the 3rd alarm. I really wonder what's the deal with this sudden wave of fatigue, but unfortunately, I have no idea, and nothing much can be done about it.

Perhaps too many things are being piled up in me and causing me a lot of angst. Whatever the reason is, it's a bad sign. An omen, if you will. Maybe I should retire early tonight.

The swashbuckling adventures ain't over yet. Yarr it ain't. We may have escaped, but the tale goes on! And the storyteller is adaptly named ... Telltale!

Unfortunately, they felt the need to split the story into 5 different parts, and will only be releasing each part monthly, or so. Bleh. Gotta wait like, forever for it.

About the escape

Let's talk about the escape. It's a different engine from the ones before it, and the characters are now 3D on a 2D background - or at least that's what I think it looks like (I'm no expert in graphics and these sort of stuff). But the controls kind of suck on a keyboard, since it appears that the interface was more meant to be used on a controller or joystick or stuff of that sort.

Then there's this amazingly annoying minigame at the very end of the game that's almost completely full of bull and a complete waste of time just due to the way it works and how slow the animations and actions play out. But at least I managed to make my way through.

Unfortunately, a bug which makes the amnesic even more so screwed over my progress and I was forced to resort to other means to finish what I've started. I guess throwing stuff and bonking the head of the lost ain't gonna make them any better - in fact, it's more likely to fry their minds even more.

あっちゃー。なんでもない。

体の調子はあんまりよくない。なんか病気（？）の感じ。一般は健康だから、あんまり病気にならないけど、今はちょっと変。疲れの所為なのかな？

まぁ、明日起きたらいつものようになるでしょう。

So there's a third, and who knows, there actually is a fourth! Yeah. There's yet another sequel to it, and that makes it a four-part series. Kind of rare to see this isn't it, a quadology(is there even such a word?!?) instead of a trilogy.

It went from secret, to secret:revenge, to curse, and now it's escape! Who knows where it'll go on from now?!?
