Very tired...

Don't know why, or perhaps I do... But I've been feeling very tired over the past weekend. I guess it's partially because of gaming too much, and also sleeping too late (or rather, too early in the morning =x). Guess I'm still not fully adjusted back to school... And then there's still all those work piling up and waiting for me to complete... Aizzz

Found something

Found some interesting japanese games recently off the net. Being able to study japanese, and play, and have fun at the same time... What an enjoyable thing!

But then again, I don't really have the time nor freedom to play and fool around now. There's still those FYP data for me to collate and arrange...

Missed a tutorial...

I can't believe it... I refuse to believe it! I actually copied down my tutorial timing incorrectly, and missed my tutorial today! Ahh..... T.T

That's going to have a negative effect on my record >.<

Random stuff

Hmm... Had a really cheap lunch courtesy of my mobile service provider. As part of a promotion, we get to have a fastfood set meal worth ~$6 at the price of $1! Nice to be able to save money^^

At last!

I finally managed to meet my supervisor! But he is indeed, as some people had gossiped, a bit cold and unfeeling towards his FYP students. In fact, he didn't even know that I have already taken up the project and was still asking if I'm interested in taking up the project after having explained the gist of it to me! But at least, the graduate students on the project with me appeared to be quite nice. So hopefully, everything will go well.

I'll have to head down there again on Thurs to copy some files for collating. And the work sounds like a lot too... but at least, there's progress in my FYP!

At last!!

My supervisor finally replied to my email!! But the timing given clashes with my lectures... so I have to reply to him again and get another timing. Hopefully, the reply will come a lot faster this time. Another 2 weeks of waiting is going to kill me =x

Birthday party

Celebrated my cousin (also my god sister)'s birthday tonight. Well, it was a celebration in name, but is more of a dinner. Not to mention that the dinner was also a treat by my uncle.

Oh well, at least we all came together and wished her a "Happy Birthday!" and everyone was happy. Today was also the closing ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Didn't manage to catch it due to the dinner-cum-celebration, but since we recorded it, we can still watch it anytime at our pleasure =P

皆さんのお誕生日はどうやって祝するのかな？ここは大抵一緒にご飯を食べるし、ケーキを切るし、それに歌を歌う。

夏祭り

今日は夏祭りがあった！

場所はチャンギの日本人学校。入場料は＄２だが、実はうちわ料だった。どう有意味？まぁ、チケットはうちわと交わすから。

祭りのものはちょっと高いけど、まぁ、面白いからいいじゃない。

来年も行ける？そのうちにわかる。

AGM!

We had our club AGM tonight, but it was an AGM that is totally unlike any of the past AGMs that I had been to.

First of all, there isn't even an AGM report to go through. Instead, we have separate presentations by the upcoming committee people, and an introduction of the new committee along with some fun and laughter as some of our club artists draw caricatures of the exco members.

Oh well, as long as everyone had fun. The turnout was also rather surprising, at a total of around 65 members out of the total of 100, it was likely the highest turnout that we had, at least for those that I had been to. =P

今夜は本当に疲れたね。。。

部活の会議あって、その後一緒に晩御飯へ行った。今回のはこの以前以上の出席率があったよ。晩御飯は３０人以上なんだって。

一年の始まりにはすごかった。このままその調子に行くのお祈りする～☆

Wait, and wait, and wait - And complain!

Here's a little story about a person who went to book a venue and was told that he will be informed when the booking is confirmed to make payment. In the end, 2 weeks down the road, he suddenly receives a phone call asking if he still wants the venue as the date is 2 days later and payment has yet to be made. Surprised at not being informed, he still decide to go down the next day to make payment.

And... surprise! He waited a whooping 1hr15min before he managed to get to see the person and get the invoice to make payment for the booking. The end result is that he ended up 30mins late for lesson even though he arrived 1 hour before the start of the lesson.

信じられない。まさか１時間以上を待った。もうそんなようなことはさせない。もういい。

このことは絶対許さない！

Sent off.

We sent off my uncle's body for cremation today after the final ceremony. The proceedings at the crematorium itself is rather fast, and we don't even get a chance to see how it went since it just goes into the furnace and everything is gone and over. Heard that the proceedings is slightly different at different places, so I guess it's just how that place we went to works.

すべては終わった。できることはもうすんだ。残りのは人々の思いだけ。元気出してね。

Funeral wake.

Went down to my uncle's wake again tonight for the last prayer session before sending off for cremation tomorrow.

It's really weird about how Singaporeans are... even when burning offerings and saying prayers, they still don't forget about "lucky numbers" and to ask for blessings for wealth. I guess it's part of the culture here...

今夜も儀式へ行った。シンガポール人は本当に面白いね。。。亡くなったの人の為にの祈りをするときもお金のことを忘れず。

Attended my uncle's wake yesterday night. Don't really know what to say about it. I don't really feel as sad as some of my other relatives, but then again, there's this indescribable feeling too.

Will be going down to the wake again tomorrow night as he will be sent off the following noon.

実は書きたいことがあるけど、今の日本語のレベルは書くにくいかも。どうやって書くも知らない。

本当にちょっとがっかりだ。。。

Gone.

It's hard to know what the feeling is, but losing someone close to you is something serious isn't it?

Well, someone close, or rather, should be close is gone. Even though he's a direct relative, but I'm not really that close to him. Still, losing someone is losing someone, and I guess there will be more of such things, since that's what life is like.

家族の人が亡くなったの感じはどうだったのかな？実は今日は親戚の人が。。。

まぁ、しかったない。

FYP

With the final year project title finally decided, it's time to move on to the actual discussion and start work. Seems like my project is going to be computer based modeling... wonder how it'll turn out.

今学期もなかなか面白くなってきたね。来週から本番だね！

Why! Why! Why! Why do I have to go through such a long sequence of events before I can see the Xmas eve event? And with no chance of saving in between too!!!

Oh well, I've already cleared 4 of them now. Just 3 more left to go.

信じられない。まさか本当に七回同じことをするなんて。つまらないけど、すべてのクリスマスイブイベントを見たいなら、そうしないとだめ。

まぁ、同じボスを七回倒れるもなかなか上手になるじゃない。もう少しだね。

A little break into the term

No school for today! A little break just in the start of the term.

Well, not really needed, but since I'm still in denial (sort of), it's a great help =P

今日は休みので、学校へ行かなかった。別に全学校が休みじゃないけど、ただ私の。

これもいいよ。だって、明日は病気で夜早く寝た。だから、今日はたっぶりお返し！

I'm sick! Sick!

Ya. I'm sick... Down with a something that feels like a terrible cold. The unending nose drips and sneezes really irritates me!

Got a lot better after getting home and taking some medicine, but now I'm feeling really drowsy... Guess it's time to go to bed. 1st gen really works well, but the side effects work just as well too. =x

久々に病気になった。別にうれしいことではないけど。今回は鼻水がいっぱいでった。

Back to school!

The long, long break is over... and today's the start of the new semester proper.

Well, the lack of posting over the couple of days was a bit of laziness on my side... should have posted on National Day though. =x

Today's program was quite simple, just a little lecture in the morning, then a lot of talks after that =x

Weekend and Dinner

So we've entered the last weekend before school officially reopens from today.

Dinner was settled over at Ikea's but this time round we have a total of 5 people, thus making it a lot better, since we didn't end up having too much food for too little people =x

As a side note, today's also the official opening of the 2008 Beijing Olympics!

えっとね、あと２日だよ。もうすぐって意味。

なんとゆうか、ちょっと緊張かもしれない。だって、３月ぶりの学校生活だもん。

Safety Induction Course

Went for the faculty safety induction course today meant for new honours students and research fellows/assistants. A complete waste of time too, if I may add. Numerous people start flowing out and leaving halfway through the lectures, with some coming back at the end just for the sake of the test, and some of them just not caring about it and not returning.

Hopefully, this will be the last of such meaningless procedure work. I admit that some of the information may be useful, but to spend an entire day of such a thing and to attempt to talk so much rubbish just isn't very bright.

今日はひとつつまらない講義を受けた。ただつまらないじゃなくて、しかも一日を潰した。もうこんな事はごめんね！

Just a few more days left. Tomorrow's pretty much booked with the safety induction briefing/course (whatever) that spans the whole day from 8:30 in the morning to 5:30 in the evening.

Oh well, just take it as a little adaptation day back to school =P

って、今日は友達がカラオケへ行ったけど、用事があるので行かなかった。惜しいぞそれ！

Forgotten to post again yesterday =x

Anyways, we had our FYP briefing yesterday on what to do and about what is going to happen, for all of us clueless folks. Basically, it's decided that there will be short talks (within 30 minutes) given by the various supervisors of the different projects next Wednesday and the balloting will be done by Friday with the final choices being submitted to the office by the same day.

Gotta think about the choices and make a decision soon...

The day after exercising

So I didn't post yesterday, but in the end I did fail my fitness test as I had originally expected to. Not a big surprise at that since I've not been really been training/exercising for a long time. The fact that I actually passed some items was quite a surprise for me though =P

Anyways, from yesterday, I've been feeling varying amounts of pain in my legs, probably due to overexertion after having been so slack for such a long time. Hopefully, it will go away by tonight's rest as I've to go back to school tomorrow for a briefing =x

いたたたた。。。って、痛いだ！昨日から足がよくそう呼んだ。

もう修行しないといけないね。来年はきっと勝つ！！

Fitness test tomorrow!

As stated in the title, I'll be going for a fitness test tomorrow... Kind of excited and scared also since I haven't been training nor exercising for a long, long time. Wonder how badly I'll fail =P

明日はとても特別なひだよ。だって、体力試験があるよ。って、試験はちょっとかもしれないけど。。。

まぁ、そうゆう感じだな！では、今日は早速寝るだぜ！
