New Year's Eve

Just a couple of hours more and the year 2008 will be over. How many of you will be going out to countdown with the general public and crowd?

I personally will be counting down to the new year at home with the TV at most. After experiencing that crowd and the madness 2 years ago when I went down to the city area for the new year's countdown, I made up my mind to not join in the chaos anymore.

Here's an early wish to a good 2009!

あと二時間ぐらいで２００８年は終わった。皆さんは一緒に外で新しい年を迎えでしょうか？

去年の今日、私は友達と一緒に東京にいった。もともとは一緒にカウントダウンするつもりだけど、結局ある人たちの所為で、ゲームセンターで新しい年を迎えた。災厄でしょ。

今年はうちでカウントダウンするつもり。もう人々と一緒にのはちょっといやだ。

ちょっと早いかもしれないけど、よいお年を～♪

Near the end

With today almost gone, there's only 1 day left till the start of a new year.

So how was the year 2008 for everyone?

I guess that there were both good and bad memories, but it's still a page in our lives, so we should all cherish our memories. Who knows, it might be a nice memory for us in the future.

２００８年はもうすぐ終わる。今日はもうすぐ終わるから、あと一日。

明日は大晦日。皆さんの２００８年はどうだった？きっとうれしい記憶とうれしくない記憶もあるでしょ。それでも、全部は思い出から、大事にしなきゃ。将来は私たちの懐かしい思い出になるかもしれない。

Falling apart

Nailclipping

My dog hates to get her nails clipped. After the first time she got it done, she started struggling and squealing out in fear(?) or pain(?) every time we tried to get her nails clipped.

Giving her treats when we clip her nails work to a certain extent, but she still squeals and struggles after a while. What a pain =.=

時間が経つ。少しずつ。戻らないように流す。だから、無駄にするのはだめ。

でも、私は結構時間を無駄にした。いけないとわかってるけど、どうしてもそうになった。

Chingay Practice

Today's the first official briefing for Chingay, with everyone being assembled in the Auditorium where videos of the previous parade and a short demonstration of the actual dance, and a briefing is given where the official schedule and other things to note are informed.

Unfortunately, I was late for it. Haha. So I missed out on the first 2 items that I listed. But at least, I did manage to catch the briefing!

恥ずかしながら、遅刻した。ビデオとデモンストレーションはミスだった。でもでも！お知らせの部分はちゃんと聞いた！

今回はもっと早くうちから出ないとね。

Happy Birthday!

To me! Yes! Today's my birthday!

Unfortunately, the original plans that I had in mind were all screwed up due to the freak accident that occurred at the Singapore Flyer a couple of days ago. In the end, we ended up going over to Crystal Jade Kitchen for dinner - a whooping total cost of over $270!!!

And I also renewed my mobile phone contract and bought a new phone - costing $98. Thus, the total amount spent tonight accounts to over $300!!!

残念けど、元もの計画はもうだめ。最近の事故の所為で。結局近くのレストランで夕食を食べた。

それに新しい携帯も買った。夕食は２７０ドルぐらい、携帯は９８ドルぐらい。つまり、全部でもうすぐ４００ドルじゃない！

結構買ったよね、私。

Christmas

It's Christmas today! Too bad I don't celebrate Christmas though.

But everyone is happy when we have a holiday don't we?

残念だけど、うちはクリスマスなんか祝わない。

Singapore Flyer...

...is gone. Ya. Due to an accident that occurred yesterday, the Singapore Flyer is temporarily closed until the 28th, tentatively. Which means that the flight on my birthday, is screwed.

I HATE THIS. ANGRY!

Results

Results are out today! So how's it? Well, considering that I almost didn't study for it, it's not too bad I guess.

It's unfortunate that my Japanese grade ain't as good as it used to be, but then again, I didn't put in too much effort for it either, so it's expected.

今学期はあまり勉強しなかったから、この成績はよかった。日本語のはちょっと悪くなったけど、仕方がない。

来学期は最後だ。とりあえず、できるだけやる。

Confirmation

The tickets for the Singapore Flyer ride that I mentioned earlier has been confirmed! It'll be on my birthday, the 26th of December at 8:30pm. Quite an interesting celebration, don't you think?

この前に書いたこと、まだ覚えてる？そのシンガポールフライヤーのライドの時間はもう決めた！

なんと、私の誕生日の日の午後八時半だ！結構楽しい誕生日じゃない？

Too much sleep

Overslept tonight. I mean this morning. But whatever. I missed an appointment with my friends...

Sad.

また寝すぎた。いつもこの調子だとだめになる。

しかも友達との約束を破れた。悲しい。

Chingay Practice

There was Chingay practice again today, and I made sure that I attended it this time round. It seems that the dance steps are getting easier and easier with each practice session though. Perhaps too many people can't get the hang of the steps.

This year's is already much easier than the last one. In fact, it's not even tiring at all ~.~

今日はまた練習。今回はちゃんと参会した。それに、ステップは毎度の練習に簡単になる。気のせいかな？それとも、たくさんの人がステップを習わない？

まぁ、どうでもいいけど。今年のは前のよりずっと簡単。ぜんぜん疲れてない。

We have a winner!

It's unbelievable! But I received a call from Kinokuniya today informing that I won the competition that I sent in a while back. And the prize is!!! $100 worth of Kinokuniya vouchers together with a pair of tickets to the Singapore flyer!

That's so exciting! This might just be Kinokuniya's birthday surprise for me!

Disappointed, with self

Very disappointed with myself now... To think that I missed the practice for today... =.=

Slept too late last night, and was feeling very terrible today when I woke up. Okay, it was not just last night, but for a total of 3 nights, and as a result, the fatigue piled up and I wasn't able to function normally...

So... I missed practice because of that. What an idiot I am.

信じられない。失望したよ、自分に。まさか今日の練習をサボったなんで。連日の睡眠不足のせいだ。

今日からはちゃんと寝るように。それに、やらなきゃならないことも。自己反省をしないと。

Practice

Tomorrow's the 3rd Chingay practice, and hopefully, we'll be able to learn the entire moveset and finally practice the entire dance as a whole. IMO, it's more fun to dance and practice when you're doing it as a whole.

We'll see about that tomorrow.

明日はまた練習の日。今回は全部を習えばいいけど。私の意見だけど、全部そろって練習するのほうがいいと思う。

Maplestory

You can find the symbol of the maple leaf on the national flag of Canada, and it is also the symbol used for one of Wizet's online games, Maplestory.

So why am I talking about this? I just recently started it again. Not in the official servers though, I've since gotten sick and tired of that monotonous and repetitive stuff. So what is it? A private server.

Hmm... Let's see how long this time it'll last.

Songs

Hmm... so what songs do I usually listen to? Mostly Japanese songs. I may also listen to Chinese songs and English songs at times, but those are mostly when my brothers listen to their songs irresponsibly.

What do I mean by that? It means that they turn their speakers up to insanely loud volumes and irritate everyone. That's what I mean.

私はいつもどんな歌を聞いているの？ほとんど日本語の歌。時々もほかの歌を聞くけど、それは聞こえるでも言う。

まぁ、それも他人の所為けど。

Chingay Practice

2nd Chingay practice today, but still, not much improvement in terms of knowledge in dance steps. Well, technically, we did progress till the end of the dance, but the last few segments were just shown to us and not really explained and practiced.

Hopefully, we'll be able to learn those steps by the next practice.

足が痛い。今日の練習の所為だ。ぐるぐると、足が痛くなった。

どうして？それは、ぐるぐるをできないから。さすがに、３６０゜の回旋は難しい。

今度の練習はちゃんと注意しないと。

Viva EASY!!

Dinner tonight was yet again, the Viva pizza from Pizza Hut!

2 regular pizzas for 3 people is a bit too much I guess. I'm feeling very bloated now and full of er... bread? Haha =P

夕食はピザだった！でも、ちょっと食べ過ぎたかも知れん。いまだお腹が一杯一杯で、ちょっと気持ち悪い。。。

今回はそんなに食べないように。。。

Tired!

Fatigue is hitting me again! Even though I've been sleeping early and trying to ensure that I get at least 7-8 hours of sleep a day, I'm still experiencing the bouts of fatigue that had plagued me back when I was getting all stressed up about the exams.

Guess the exams alone wasn't the only problem that was stressing me. The FYP must be another reason, and with it not settled yet, I just can't feel relaxed enough...

またまた疲れた。夜早く寝って、一晩七、八時間を寝ただけど、いつも疲れている。ストレスが溜まりすぎるかな？

期末試験もずいぶん前に終わったから、まだほかの原因があるだろう。それは、たぶんプロジェクトのこと。

やっぱり、プロジェクトをしまわないと安心できないな。。。

Sushi

We had dinner at Sakae Sushi tonight as part of the celebration for my father's birthday. Everyone had a lot to eat and by the time we were done and left the place, we had like 43 colored plates, 3 red plates, 3 bowls of ramen, 1 bowl of udon and lotsa other stuff.

Quite a lot right? Well, fortunately (for us) and unfortunately (for them), they miscounted the number of plates we had! They gave us a discount of 20 plates due to that =P

今日は珍しく寿司を食べた。お父さんの誕生日だから。みんなもたくさん食べたから、その後はお腹一杯一杯で、なんか苦しいかも。でも、それはみんなは夕食がよかったと思うから、いい。

しばらく寿司を食べないと思うけど。

Silence

I think silence, or perhaps, just the plain hum of the environment, is very relaxing. And I really like it when it's all quiet. I really don't like noise and sounds. Not really that weird ain't it?

静かなのはいいな。何とか落ち着くのができる。うるさいのと音がなんかいやだ。別に変じゃないよね？

Chalet

Went down to my club's chalet this evening. Unfortunately, I do not know any of the new members as I'm already rather "old" and am like semi-alumni now.

But it's still nice and good to hang around with those that I know and chat about things and stuff. There was also a little surprise by some of my friends. A pudding that seems a lot like a cake to me =.=

今夜はクラブの友達と一緒に過ぎた。残念が、新しい会員は知らない。でも、知り人と一緒にしゃべったりも楽しかった。

ケーキみたいなプディングもあった。しかもサプライズだもん。

結構楽しかったよ～♪

Hari Raya

Today's a public holiday as it's Hari Raya. I don't really know which one, but it's supposedly something equivalent to new year for the Muslims.

But anyways, everyone's happy that we have a public holiday, aren't we?

今日は定休。何のためのはよくわからんけど、休みがあれば誰も喜びだろう？

別に特別なことでもない。休みがあればいい。

Not according to plan

The original plan for today is to head down to Kinokuniya to get some books, have lunch over at Takashimaya, and then go down to Jurong Birdpark.

But unfortunately, because we headed out too late, it was already half past 2 by the time we finish getting the books at Kinokuniya. So the plan to head down to Jurong Birdpark was scrapped and we ended up going down to visit my grandfather.

Guess the trip down to the birdpark will have to wait for another day.

計画通りかな？ううん、まったく想像以外なこと。

元も紀伊国屋で本を買った後出かける予定けど、朝うちから出たときは遅すぎるので、買い物後はもう時間がないや。

だから、お預けになった。。。結局祖父を見に行った。

また今度ね、出かけるのは。

KFC - Too much!

Ate too much chicken today. Had KFC for breakfast and afternoon tea... Ended up not having enough space to accommodate for dinner...

Ouch... Guess I won't be having KFC for anytime soon.

食べ過ぎちゃった。昼食とスナックも同じものばかり食べて、おかげで夕食は食べられない。もうお腹一杯一杯から。

明日はちょっと特別。家族と一緒に出かける予定。楽しみだね。

Budget Terminal

Went down to the Budget Terminal tonight for dinner, and also to pick up my aunts who were coming back from their trip to Macau. Of course, as what you would have expected from Macau, the purpose of the trip is quite simple. I guess I don't have to elaborate about it right?

今日はお母さんと一緒にうちの掃除をした。家政婦が帰った以来、もう６日が経った。

実は、うちにはいつも山みたいなものがあって、そろそろ片付かないといけないと思う。

だから、今日はそうした。明日もおなじよていけど、できるかな？

Another day

Yet another day gone and nothing much achieved... Progress is slow lately... Too many other things to bother me and occupy my time...

But I guess, things will get done slowly, bit by bit, as long as you keep it up.

あっちゃ！！また何も進んでなかったまま、一日が経った。最近はなかなか進まないな。。。どうして？

このまま進めば、間に合うかな？とりあえず、今はそうしなきゃならない。。。

Oh ya. About the maid that went back home? It turns out that the chance that she had actually been lying is rather high. And she supposedly won't be back until near the end of the month, so we've decided to terminate her work permit and perhaps, get another maid instead. Who knows~

December

It's December! The start of the end of the year! The beginning of the end!!!

Anyways, it's still not time to get too excited, as there is still lot's of things left to do! Tomorrow is me and my father's lunar birthday too! Lots of fun, and unfun!

いよいよ十二月だよ！一年の終わり、つまり、終わりの初め！

でも、まだまだたくさんやらないといけないことが残ってる。それに、明日は私と父の陰暦の誕生日！なんかわくわくしてるぜ～♪
