Watched Paprika yesterday. It was quite an interesting show, with some semi-deep ideas on the mind and humans trying to be as gods, but I feel that it's still too shallow and immature, not really touching the guise of the concept or exploring it far enough. And the ending portion is kinda lame IMO, and the little bit of romance that they tried into inject into it was kinda off, and it just seems so unbelievable, like something they just decided to throw in for fun. But those aside, it's still a nice show, and you should go and catch it if you're into anime and will like to see something with a bit of mystery and philosophy thrown into it. (BTW, I still think the DC Mini concept is very similar to the Encephalon diving concept in Xenosaga~~)
Oh, and we went to get the tickets late, so we ended up sitting RIGHT IN FRONT of the screen, and we also went in late as we rushed to get our dinner, and so in the midst of confusion to getting to my seat, I accidentally catch my bag against one of the protruding parts of a seat (why the HECK is there such a thing there?!?!?!?!?) and tore my strap. Had to sew it back eventually, but it also shows that the quality of that bag is rather crappy for that to happen. Teaches you to trust (or rather, NOT trust) cheap stuff from other places yes?
Back to myself - I'm officially resigning from my temp job and tomorrow will be my last day. The job itself isn't too bad, and I don't really mind working on till the end of the month, but other matters require my attention, and the top of the pyramid isn't too great and all, plus the pay issues - WHATEVER. Time for me to focus back on school stuff and perhaps complete some series and games if I have the time as I go along - hopefully I do, else I'll never be able to catch up on my incredible backlog.... (^n^|||)
Guess that's all for today~

Back from the chalet
Actually, this should had been posted last night, but I was far too tired after reaching home to function, so this post has been delayed to today~
Anyways, our chalet started on the 15th (Sun), where we met up at 1330 at the MRT station before heading down towards the chalet itself together. Unfortunately, we were only allowed to get the keys after 3 pm, so we had to spend (waste) some time hanging around the arcade room in the premises. Even after waiting till past 3 pm, we still weren't able to get our keys and some of us decided to just climb into the unit itself (TRESPASSING!) where we got caught by one of the staff at the chalet, who eventually helped us get our hands on the keys to our unit (turns out that our ascent was rather helpful! =D ).
After which, we proceeded down to CosFest '07, where we see different cosplayers and get both shocked and awed (especially the final competition part, though there were more shocks and disbelief), and we also managed to catch some time to take with a potential collaborator for our club activities and also get a group photo with our people who went down and some of our alumni members who turned up.
I went home shortly (okay, not that short since I went for 2hr+) to watch some TV, but at least I managed to contribute when I went back by bring along a multi-plug since there aren't enough sockets down at the chalet room for a bunch (I mean a lot) of people to crowd together in a room with all their laptops.
The first night went by quickly with games on the Wii, card games, and some board games and before we knew it, it's almost the morning and some of us decided to catch some sleep. Shortly after, it's time to rise and shine again and we went out for an hour worth of cycling.
Lunch was prepared upon returning to the chalet. We had our own version of Japanese curry rice, with some potatoes, carrots, meat and rice (Duh). Lunch was actually quite tasty and nice, but unfortunately, we underestimated the rice consumption of our people and ended up with not enough rice for everyone, and some had to go along with bread and chips to go with the curry. (Partly due to some who decided to go for seconds even before everyone had their meal.)
Time till dinner was spent on some degree of anime marathoning, some card games (actually, A LOT of card games). Dinner was steamboat, but something went wrong with the appliance we brought down for the steamboat (it kept overheating and shutting itself down) and we had to turn to the stove for our steamboat. Unfortunately, it appears that the gas output wasn't enough to manage two stoves (or rather that particular stove is faulty or something) and we had certain troubles when we were cooking up our dinner. Quite a fun (and trouble) filled night it was. For all the effort, at least the dinner was good and everyone had their fill this time round. Thanks to all those who chipped in to help out!
The night ended for most by returning home for some well-deserved sleep after the hectic events while a few others decided to stay on to the last morning. Though there were significantly less people left in the chalet by then, they should still be able to have fun and enjoy in their own way~
That's all for this time round I guess, and sorry for that whole block of text! XD

Been a long time
Been a long time since my last post!
Anyways, just some recent updates:
1) My preceptor is going to be transferred out!! Seems like it's going to be a promotion or something, but she still isn't too sure of the work details yet. Exciting! Guess I'll be going down this Sat again before she transfers.
2) Got a chance at COE (Customer Order Entry) yesterday. Too many samples coming in so I got a chance to help out. A rather fun and interesting experience, and I also got a first-hand feel of how the staff there work.
3) Anime chalet is coming up this weekend!! Anime and get-together and games = LOTSA FUN!!! Looking forward to it!!
4) As I missed out on the HP left on my suppotail, she got reduced to 0 hp after an action and is now in a deep slumber for 48 hrs. Sadness... >.<
That's all for now~ I'll post again soon!
