Employment

I'm officially employed now, though the terms weren't that good. My basic wage is a mere $1700, of which 10% is of a variable component, which means that it could go as low as $1530! Not only so, 20% of the wage has to be contributed to this CPF scheme, which is the nanny's way of saving money for the people.

This means that my take-home wage is but a mere $1360. Kind of pathetic for someone who has spent 4 years studying and obtaining a degree. This shows just how much this country cares about my profession, and just how pathetic our treatment is.

First-class, eh?

仕事があったんだ。今日はその契約をサインに行った。給料は想像通りの情けない程度。一ヶ月千七百ドル以下。

この四年の勉強はいったいどんなために?
